In today’s fast-paced, self-focused world, people of every generation are floundering in loneliness and lack of purpose. We are like robots going through life, without experiencing the satisfaction of living sincerely and honestly, purposefully and intentionally. The tyranny of the urgent propels us from home to work, to school and co-curricular commitments, to sports and entertainment, to church ministry and leadership, to mission trips and family vacations, to Target and Wal-Mart, to the never ending pile of chores and laundry and bills to pay.
We are simply a people in motion, no matter our age, losing hope and focus each passing day. We are a culture of tweens, teen, young adults, 30-somethings and beyond, inundated with superficial relationships filling our friends list while growing in despair and depression as we lose touch with our Maker.
It is time to be more than just people in motion, lonely, lost, and lingering on the brink of depression. It is time to be more than earthly focused, wasting time, money, and energy on things that rust and decay. It is time to be more than self-absorbed, forgetting how desperately the next generation — no matter how old or young — needs our attention and direction.
It is time to meet a personally relevant God, whose Spirit longs to dwell fully within each one of us through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It is time to make room for the Lord to enter our lives, so that He can makes us more brighter, more beautiful, more like Jesus. It is time to experience His power, hope, peace, and joy, through learning and applying Biblical truth to every area of life.
It is time for a life that is more. to. be.
It is time to become more like Christ as we get to know God personally and grow in our relationship with His Son.
It is time to experience life transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit drawing on the truth revealed through the Word.
It is time to impact the next generation as we live with them established and rooted God’s purposes.
It is time.
Will you join me?
