I can tell by your question that you are really torn. You must really like this guy, especially if he hurt you and you are even considering giving him your heart again. But as I listen to your question, I also see through it. I can see your longing to be loved and desire to fix something broken. Those are good desires, but at this point in your life misplaced. If you were married, you would have to work things out and learn to trust him again. But you’re not.
It is time to walk away. It is time to turn to the One that is love, not this boy again. Instead of giving your heart to this guy, give your heart to the Lord. If you have done that before, then now…when you are vulnerable…is the time to invest in that relationship with God. Instead of spending time thinking about this guy and wondering about what you should do, choose to read your Bible, pray, sing worship music, be with friends, serve in a place where your special gifts are needed!
My final advice is this: Walk away and put your trust in the Lord. God will do the healing necessary in your heart and in understanding this relationship.
