the other day one of my daughters..who is 13 and knows everything bent over and whispered in my ear..”mom look at that girl with her breasts hanging out like that” so I looked and didn’t say much. She whispered again “what would you do if I did that?” So I whispered back “how would YOU feel wearing something like that?” I think that’s it’s important that as we are teaching biblical truths that we are making sure that we are also teaching our girls to look into there own heart and relationship with the Lord to develop their own internal compass on right and wrong..what the Lord thinks and what it means to them.
I love it when I have the opportunity to pour into teens lives. I have to admit I am best at mentoring and speaking into girls lives. I’m not sure why. Maybe because I remember all those feelings I had as a teen and I wished I would have had someone to speak into my life. Great post. Blessings.
