What is Whispered to Your Heart

In the darkest hours, in the still night-turning-dawn, the One who loves you, who designed your beautiful frame, stirs with joy contemplating you.

When you lay down your head, thoughts cycling through the regrets, joys, and challenges that make your chest tight, He covers you, tucking you in. Rest, child: I’ve got you. Let your weary body rest on Me.

His voice lullabies to His children:  Sleep, My darling, My precious one.  Do you trust Me?  Do you believe I have good things in store?  What I have for you is always good.  I show you.  You do not always need to believe in what you cannot see:  See Me.

When the morning breaks with promise, stretch now, reach for what you know is true, for what He longs to show you about this day.  He has something for you.  Let it be discovered–for you are discovered, glorious to Him.  He does not keep good things hidden under stones.

There is something amazing and beautiful being created in your spirit this moment.  There is a plan that is scripted in love poetry, in the designs of your hand, the clouds of sky, His breath in the wind bending grass, the beating of your heart echoing His.

Listen.  Trust.  Surrender.  Believe.

He is for you.  Your name on His lips makes choruses in heavens sing. What is this He calls you?  Can you hear the whisper?  The aching of love so deep, so pure  . . .

Not the lie, the loud, shouted, twisted one that is the opposite of what is true. (Cover her heart, Father, to help her hear Your heart for her, Your words, none other.) Rather, the one that is heard from deep inside, breathed into your soul from the One who named you when He thought up each detail of your heart.  You are His.  You are beautiful.

What does He whisper today?  What is your name?

Dear Father,

I pray for Your girls, for the ones who cry out, and the ones who have yet to know you.  I pray for hearts who are troubled, anxious, lonely, and for hearts who stand before You, looking into Your eyes, and laying down everything they have.  We need You desperately, Father.  You are the only thing that is true, solid, the  place of peace and hope.  You are our sanctuary.  And I pray that You cover us in Your truth and let us have courage to let You in to the places where we’ve never let You in before.  Reveal to us our true identity, in Your eyes, that we may go out, in Your name, knowing we can do anything.  You hold tight and never let us go.

We are in this together, girls. I stand with you, delighted to be part of the More to Be community with you.
