Fill in the blank…

Who do you love? Family? Children? Spouse? Friends?
As moms, our first response would be our loved ones.
We live to nurture. Family is our greatest priority. We spend most days expressing love for our families by providing for their needs — cooking, cleaning, counseling, and, well, you know how long this list could grow.
But what about loving ourselves? Within your attempts to love others, how much space is available to love you?
Creating Space to Love Yourself…
It’s easy for us to attach our identity to the lives of our children. We feel pride for their good choices and a twinge of shame when they let us down. Without finding our own space to love ourselves, we anchor our value in other people who then determine our worth.
Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good. Proverbs 19:8
Making Space for You…
- Develops a sense of significance
- Builds self-confidence
- Strengthens healthy relationships
- Empowers your relationship with God
Taking time for yourself allows you breathing room. It’s an opportunity to re-energize, re-focus, and spend some alone time with God, so that YOU can be your best YOU!

I need to love myself enough to give attention to my health. If I were healthier, I’d probably be less moody with my family.
