I have a little story to share with you. Well, it’s a pretty big story actually. See, when I launched More to Be in 2011, the plan was to really create an online filing cabinet for all the resources I’d been using in my real life of mentoring teen girls. As a graphic designer I had the skill to build a site and as a stay-at-home mom I could squeeze in ministry hours during nap time. So with much prayer and the support of my family as well as a team of advisers, More to Be launched.
Back when More to Be launched, I had no idea would it would become nor the way it would provided for other opportunities. For a visionary, this has really been a moment by moment journey.
My heart for this place has always been about impacting the next generation of young women, through equipping their moms and mentors to speak into their lives . . . to connect one on one and in mentoring groups.
That’s still my heart today! And yet, God has moved me in directions that I didn’t see coming and make me exclaim “Really, Lord? How does this fit together?” For example, I went for life coach training in order to become a better mentor, but that training turned into an incredibly wonderful business endeavor. I love being a coach, and teaching the very training course I went through to those who share a similar desire to help people, but I never planned on running a business, managing a second website, or . . . writing a book built off life coaching principles to help women get unstuck and find their new groove. Ahem. Because that’s what’s happening, friends.
I’m writing an honest to goodness book. For women. To help them experience life transformed.
The ink is fresh on the contract I just signed with Waterbrook Multnomah thanks to the absolutely amazing guidance, direction, and support of my agent, Ruth Samsel of the William K. Jensen Agency. It’s been quite the journey — with quite the back story that I’m sharing about over here.

Yes, you, the most amazing More to Be tribe of supporters! Your faithfulness in using our resources and spreading the word has compelled me to continue leading and writing and serving you here. Your passion for truth and your willingness to impact the next generation with your time, is inspiring! I know you want more resources to help you continue on this journey, because you’ve told me so. You need what More to Be has to offer . . . and then some.
Even though this book is not the one I thought it I’d be writing first (read this story to find out why), I’m hoping and praying that it will be a tool that equips all the More to Be moms and mentors to impact the next generation. And I’m praying that it also opens the doors for new resources to be written especially for the next generation.
