God, did I do the wrong thing?
If I’d only had known that would have happened . . .
Why do I always end up in this rut-dwelling place time and time again?
Will I ever get it right?
If only I was more like her . .
These are the secret whispers of guilt that torment our souls. As moms. As women. As followers of Christ.
[Tweet ” Guilt has the power wreck us, but God’s grace always has the upper hand when we yield to His truth.”]
Rather than reacting to the guilt we feel, we need to respond to it in light of the Truth. That’s a lesson I’ve been learning afresh in this season of motherhood, especially as I’ve embraced all that the Lord revealed to me during my preparations for a MOPS talk on the topic. Trust me, I didn’t choose the topic of letting go of guilt, but I knew it was one I was supposed to say yes to sharing on.
If letting go of guilt is an issue you struggle with, I encourage you to think of it in a whole new way.
Join me over at The Better Mom as I share a story on how I learned a how to handle mommy guilt and take some time to listen to the message I gave at MOPS in this month’s M2B Podcast (click here to listen). But don’t click away without first getting a copy of the Letting Go of Guilt resources.
