One of the sweetest parts of being a life coach and mentor has been the opportunity to meet women who have not given up on God’s best for their lives.
In the face of looming obstacles, they are not willing to settle for life “as is.” They may be knee deep in fear, but they have chosen instead to bruise their knees in prayer. They may be pressing on in an unfulfilling career and sacrificing in life-draining relationships, but they are hopeful for what’s next. They may be brand new to this living-Jesus-faith-walk, seeking to align their lifestyle to God’s Word, or a seasoned saint ready to embrace their next faith step.
These women I have the privilege of knowing are often battling for a new legacy, having come to terms with the dysfunction that marked their past, and absolutely determined to not allow it to mess with the next generation.
Each one has invited me into their unique story, marked by her own trials and challenges, blessings and yet-to-be-realized dreams. What each woman doesn’t realize is that she is a part of a great sisterhood pursuing an unspoken mission.
They want more from God.
They see a glimmer of what He still intends for their life.
And they still hope for what is to come from their legacy.

As I think about the lives of these precious sisters, I’ve realized they represent a world of women who’ve not yet given up hoping in God about what is yet to come.
