Our Creator God | Encounter God Series {1}

Who is the Lord to you?

Do you see Him as the everlasting God, creator of all the earth?

Or do you find yourself questioning His design? Wondering about His purposes in making you, those you love and the ones you’re not such a fan of?

Maybe you’re tripped up by the brokenness all around you. By the evidence of a world that seems worn down and out of resources.

Take heart, my friend. God is still on the throne. He is our everlasting God. The Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary, even when we do.

Have you never heard?
    Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.

Isaiah 40:28 (NLT)

It’s easy to get lost in what we see on the surface. But what if we pulled back the layers? What if we explored a new vantage point by looking to with unblinded eyes at of all creation knowing that God’s hand was behind it all?

Let’s Pray

Lord God, please reveal to me how you’re truly the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. Please show me how you never grow weak or weary. That is so not my experience in my own flesh. It’s remarkable that it is true about You!

God, I trust that no one can measure the depths of Your understanding. Please help me to see you from this perspective and to stop trying to fit you into my human-sized box.

In the Strong Name of Jesus, Amen.

Encounter God Scripture Study

You’re not alone if you feel like your concept of God may not be entirely accurate. That’s why I’m inviting you to spend an entire year focusing on the names of God and His attributes as found in His Word through participating in our Encounter God Scripture Study & Memory Challenge.

Each week, we’re committing to these four simple steps:

  1. Memorizing One Name or Attribute of God
  2. Memorizing the Key Verse
  3. Studying the Key Verse in Context of the Chapter of Scripture
  4. Praying According to God’s Name or Attribute

Each week, focus on the name of God and/or His attribute, and study the Scripture reference in context with us.

To get started, grab the Encounter God: 52-week Scripture Memory & Prayer Scripture resource.

As you embrace this challenge, don’t go at it alone. Join me on the More to Be Facebook page each week for Scripture graphics that will help you remember your weekly focus plus a Wednesday in the Word video or audio teaching.
