What is your source of hope? Do you turn to your accomplishments or the things you feel like you can control? Do you look for hope in the people you do life with? Or is God your source of hope?
As we consider God being our source of hope, there’s more to this attribute than we might realize.
Hope doesn’t stand alone.
Hope delivers more of what we crave . . . maybe more so than anything else.
When God is our source of hope, we have more than we need. We have joy. We have peace. We have hope enough to overflow.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.Romans 15:13 NLT
God, our hope, is the deliverer of our joy and peace. These are tangible gifts that come from trusting in Him . . . believing in Him. That hope becomes our confidence. That hope is what can overflow through us by the power of the Holy Spirit. No matter where we go. No matter what we do.
When God is our hope, our life is marked in totally different ways . . . enabling us to overflow Jesus onto those God has ordained us to be hope ambassadors to throughout our lives.
God, You are my source of hope. As my confident hope, you are my joy and peace. By the power of the Holy Spirit, You can overflow through me onto those I get to do life with, become Your hope in a world that desperately needs more of You . . . more of Your joy, more of Your peace. In the Strong Name of Jesus, Amen
