For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Decision
Did you know that we were made to be loved, by God first and foremost? It is said that we have a giant, heart shaped hole in our hearts, meant to be filled by God’s love. Isn’t it true that nothing else ever compares to God’s love for us?
We search after things and pursue people, looking for our love need to be filled, all the while God is right there, waiting to give us what we need through His son, Jesus Christ.
Embracing this truth is the first step in being able to receive the fullness of His love and then becoming an overflow of that love to others, without the expectation of love in return. Wouldn’t it be nice to live all filled up with the love of Christ, instead of walking around like an empty cup waiting for others to pour into our parched soul?
Surrender

May we receive Him fully and experience life through the covering of His love. Forgive us, Lord, for the times in which we make others our savior and those times in which we strive to be the savior. Help us, God, to receive your love without question and to be a tangible expression of your love to others, as we take the hand of those we love and lead them straight to you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
