Cultivating a Relationship with Your Teen

Even though I feel a sense of confidence about what my tween and teen daughters are up to when they are out of my sight, the reality is that I may not know as much as I think I do.

I’ve witnessed too much in all my years of mentoring to be naive about good girls never making bad choices and honorable boys avoiding the slippery slopes.

They don’t mean to do it. But in a moment of flesh-dominating-thinking, they lose their grip on reality and fall into the temptations coming upon them — pressure to fit in, conform, find adventure, or make a statement.

Sounds a lot like what every single one of us goes through each day. So are we ready for our own teens to face this moment, too?  Some will withstand the pressure, by the grace of God. Others might not. So what should we do as parents to prepare?  Join me at The Better Mom as I share about what it looks like to cultivate a relationship with your teen, because you could be that mom.
